I really love that feature of being able to assist survivors of shipwrecks, i will say though that the merchant ships needs some work they look to shiny and new and simplistic....does anyone know how many merchant ship models are in U Boat currently??

seeing all the crew moving about the boat, espically after surfacing is fantastic to have been simulated...i hope the damage model is decent too....keep up this Uboat devs at this rate i'll finally be taking the game of my wish list and into my library.

I'm still holding out hope that maybe...just maybe one day this game will be a replacement for silent hunter, i'm loving the look of this full modeled 3D TDC.

I do find sometimes line ahead formation / column worths better for level bombing, otherwise there bombs tend to bracket more often.

I love war on the sea don't get me wrong but the AA defense in this game is atrocious, if one knows how i can increase AA accuracy i'd really love to know, the constant air spam can make the game feel a little ridiculous at times and the fact that 12 warships can barley shoot down a bi-plane only going 100knts really grinds my gears, as a player of combat flight sims such as IL-2 which has scary AA i find war on the sea to be rather underwhelming against low altitude attacks.

IRL, if Hermes ever get caught by a Kongo Class Battleship, it is not getting away. That retreat button is a cheesy mechanic.

I quit playing this game because of the AI pulling bullshit like what you've been experiencing. It's truly infuriating when you have a whole fleet engaging like three destroyers and they just rip apart your lead ship; when even after having it retreat far away, they continue to rain down accurate fire, with all of their guns still functioning, despite being blanketed in flames and barely floating. I promptly uninstalled the game after losing a heavy cruiser in that very scenario.

When I played this game (almost a decade ago) the company was based out of Belarus. The Russian/Soviet bias in the game was patently obvious. I have no idea if that bias has continued or not, I do know that the game was running towards Pay 2 Win, or at least pay for a large advantage. What did recently impress me, was War Gaming's decision to pull out of both Belarus and Russia! They moved their operations to Cyprus over the Ukraine invasion! Very startling for a company that showed so much Russian/Soviet bias in their game. I, for one, was greatly impressed with the decision.

Be aware that you can now have the rudder dial, depth dial, and throttle all on screen at once now by dragging and dropping them wherever you want. They show up in the external view, etc as well.

You should be able to go into crew at port and remove the problematic sailor from roster. I'm not sure if they made it random or if he will keep having problems but i'd release him.

That greasegun is an oilcan. And it used t be an actual thing on some older engines that you had to oil some moving parts like valve rocker assemblies once in a while

If you're shooting at a light cruiser bow-on, then armor-piercing should be a better choice of ammo. It has mass to hit through the length of the ship, as opposed to through the sides.
